Accessing the School Grounds
Access to the school grounds is subject to a one-way system during peak hours. Entry is via the Lower Playground pedestrian gate (off Denham Close) and exit is via the Westborough Road pedestrian gate.
From September 2021, the one-way system applies between 8.30am and 8.50am and 3.25pm and 3.40pm: outside those hours, access is via the Westborough Road pedestrian gate.
If parents/carers are dropping off children in the morning, it is recommended that they leave their child at the Lower Playground pedestrian gate and avoid entering the grounds if possible. If it is necessary for children to be accompanied onto the grounds (fully understandable for new and younger pupils) parents and carers can do so but are asked not to congregate on the grounds and should avoid engaging teachers in extended conversations at the school door. Instead, parents are asked to direct-message teachers using ClassDojo to arrange mutually convenient meetings (whether online, by phone or socially distanced in person).
If you are visiting the school, we ask that all adults continue to maintain social distancing at 2m and that visitors wear a face-covering when indoors.
Parents and carers will need a ClassDojo account in order to communicate directly with a Class Teacher.
Messages can also be left with the School Office.
Whichever method parents and carers choose for communication with staff, please be aware of our service standards: that an initial response will be made within 3 working days. Sometimes, we need more than 3 days to provide a full reply and, if this is the case, our initial response will acknowledge the initial message and indicate the likely turnaround time for a detailed reply. A working day is a school day between 8.25am and 3.40pm (what we refer to as Directed Time): anything received after these hours is deemed to have been received on the next working day. A working day does not include weekends or school holidays.

If a message is received after 3.40pm on a school day it is deemed to have been received on the next working school day and, in certain circumstances, when a full response will not be possible inside 3 days, the school will acknowledge the message and indicate when a fuller response is likely.
