Homework
Reading: 15 Minutes of daily reading. Reading records must be signed by an adult everyday to show what they have read. Children should also be read to regularly by adults as this broadens their knowledge of subjects and more difficult words. By listening to text that they would not have chosen themselves they can pick up words that they are unlikely to hear in general conversation.
Abacus Online: Homework set every Wednesday.
Times Tables Rock Stars: Children should be continuously learning their times tables as well as learning the inverse/division facts and being able to solve word problems by applying their knowledge.
Spellings: Go out on Monday to be tested on Friday. In addition to this, children should be encouraged to write full sentences incorporating words to show understanding of the meaning.
PE Days
The PE days for this term are as follows:
Monday - Indoor PE
Thursday - Outdoor PE
From time to time we have the opportunity to take part in additional sporting activities and so it is advised that the children bring their PE kit in on Monday and take it home on Friday for washing.
