Loving All Our Neighbours

Year 6

Thank you for taking the time to look at our Year 6 group page.

Here you'll find useful Year group information, messages and photos. Our class pages are for things only relevant to that particular class.

We update these regularly so check back for any bits or pieces you may have missed or need to know.

Homework:

Monday - Maths. Usually set online (Abacus) but if the task doesn't lend itself to our learning, paper copies will be sent home from time to time. Always due the next day.

Tuesday - English. Always paper copies and due two days later.

Wednesday - Spellings - Paper copies to be learnt all week and tested the following Wednesday.

Thursday - Topic. Always paper copies linked to our foundation subjects - due on Mondays.

Read every day for at least 20 minutes and have your homework diary signed by an older sibling or adult.

PE kits need to be brought in on Monday, kept at school all week and be taken home Friday.

Y6 PE days are on a Tuesday and Thursday but you never know when we might need them last minute!

We were SO LUCKY to have a visit from Jess’ Nana today to tell us all about how she was an evacuee in WW2! We loved having her and asked so many questions. We even got to hold a real ration book and old money. Thank you, Mrs Blanche for bringing the topic to life for us and to Mrs Bookman for organising!

Hooray! We did it! SATS ARE OVER!

We did it!! Yesterday, at Newlands, we played many brilliant teams- we won all but one match and some we even won 6-0! We made it through to the semi finals and came third overall out of all 15 teams involved. I knew how talented you were; I’m glad we got to share that with everyone!! Mrs D :)

We went to Cadbury World to find out about the Maya civilisation. What a brilliant day (for the children and for the teachers!)
