Welcome to 4D!
This week, Star of the Week is...
Nahia AND Adem!
Because I simply couldn't choose between them!! They have both been superstars all week, particularly in our class assembly. They showed confidence, enthusiasm and we are all grateful to have you both in our class!
Prisha wrote a lovely poem at home about school! Here it is:
I love going to school,
because it is very cool.
My clothes are ready with my bag too,
and my teacher is waiting with fun things to do.
My teacher has stacks of books in her hands,
but they take us through a magical land.
It's a place where I learn,
with achievements to earn.
Each day I'll do my best,
and I won't do any less.
We have been writing poetry in our English lessons. We have been trying to include metaphors, alliteration, rhyme, similes and much more. Can you spot any of these features in these poems by Nahia, Athishya, Marina and Tyler?
Thank You Mrs Chail!
Mrs Chail, one of our wonderful teaching assistants, will be moving to Year 5 to support another child.
We have loved having her in 4D and will miss her being in our classroom every day.
She promises to pop back regularly and see how we're getting on!
A big 'Thank You' from all of us, especially Hamzah.
Well Done Emma!
Every morning before maths, our class do early morning work. Sometimes we get a picture and we have to come up with the story behind it. This morning, we were given a picture of a beautiful, colourful house; we were very proud of Emma's work. Here it is:
When she walked seven steps closer, a rainbow came zooming down and she jumped back, falling onto the grass with a fright. The rainbow was called David and when anybody came near the magical house, home to the weather forecast people, he would get so angry he turned black.
Rainbow David picked up the little girl and threw her one hundred metres away...
"Never come here again..."
We had a fantastic day at Legoland Windsor on Friday! We took part in a workshop on programming robots using computer coding. We had to make the robot perform certain tasks like making a satellite work in space! It was challenging but fun.
We were then able to have lots of fun around the park - Mrs Delgado was quite scared letting Henna drive her around in a boat! She thought they were going to fall in!
We got back at 5pm and were all exhausted after such an exciting day.
