Maths homework is set on Tuesdays and due back on Thursdays. Abacus is a really fun way to complete Maths homework and to consolidate childrens’ learning from the past week. Logins for the site have been sent home in reading diaries.
English homework is set on a Thursday and due in the following Tuesday.
Spellings are given out every Friday and must be learnt over the course of the week and brought back the following Friday.
Please spend around 2O minutes on each piece of homework and make sure it is your own work.
Our PE days this term are Tuesday and Friday.
Power It Up!
It's Science week and our theme is 'Power It Up', so we're learning all about electricity. On Monday, we learnt about conductors and created circuits using our bodies! We experimented with 'Energy Balls' and Sensor Sticks to see which materials around the classroom were good conductors... turns out we were very good conductors ourselves... We managed to power up the sensors by conducting the energy round the circle by holding hands!
WORLD BOOK DAY
We had a great time celebrating World Book Day on Monday! Everyone really enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book characters (especially the teachers!) and we had some lovely book-themed activities throughout the day - including a quiz, shared reading with Year 5s and a visit from author James Carter. He was fab and kept us entertained with his poetry, music and singing! Here are some pictures from our day:
Happy Half Term!
We had a great time making our Mardi Gras masks with Mrs Webb-Morris!
Our trip to Oaken Grove park!
